The values that we have identified as being central to achieving our mission are: empathy, clarity, courage and transformation.

  • empathy – our trustees have direct experience of F.M.S. themselves. Their strategic leadership will set the parameters that reflect this intrinsic empathy and instil this value into any staff or volunteers who do not have the illness
  • clarity – is essential in all our work and together with expertise, lends us the natural authority to lead on behalf of all people with F.M.S.
  • courage – we will have the moral courage to campaign openly on behalf of people with F.M.S. and to state our evidence-based policies regardless of how unpopular this may make us
  • transformation – everything that we do and every pound that we spend will be tested against the question: How is this contributing to transforming the lives of people with F.M.S.?
